My Assistant Is Remote? How Does That Work?!
One word: Technology! Technology rules and it allows us to work together even though we’re miles, and timezones, apart.
Can you imagine if the concept of a “Virtual Assistant” existed in the Wild, Wild West? We would have had to rely on the Pony Express to exchange information and it would have taken weeks, or months, to get any business work accomplished!
Fast forward to the 21st Century, the Internet, the World Wide Web: There are literally no hindrances to our communications, and information is exchanged at the speed of light.

Broadband Internet access, smartphones and web-based software really are changing the way business works, and it’s these same things which allow you and I to work together. Factor in the awesomeness of the United States Postal Service, and your business life gets that much better.
Remember, just because your assistant isn’t an arm’s length from you, doesn’t mean she isn’t effective. In fact, I’m going to put it out there and say a vast majority of Virtual Assistants are far more effective, and efficient, than the assistant who comes to your home or office. Why? Because just like you, we are business owners. Just like you, we have to hustle to bring new clients into the fold. Just like you, we have a reputation to maintain.
